An Iris down the road has been looking lovely! I love these white flowers above... and would this one above be another dogwood? some lavender? lovely humble roses at the entrance to the park.... and these white flowering trees are everywhere at the moment! I am glad I got up close to these...they are so lovely.... there are some of us with allergies to something, and so the time spent walking past some of the trees is minimal! window boxes...not such a good focus this week, sorry.... and the flower off the tulip tree....just lovely! It has been lovely to be here in Inwood, New York just as the spring flowers are opening just love the crocuses, striped, or plain and the window boxes of color in the street.... I bought a tulip for my daughter to put in the window and promptly dropped it while watering it, poor thing...so I hope it will be ok! the local markets were displaying a colorful array of flowers today....marigolds... and petunias.....and the daffodils have been a sight to behold! I think these three above look like three little maids from school...all standing up straight in the back row behaving themselves! and when I look at this one, I think they are whispering to themselves, or is it to us? These are just hanging around enjoying the game !! I took most of these photos around at the Dyckman farmhouse, an original old farmhouse that has been preserved here in Inwood. A few images from a trip down to midtown on a warm saturday afternoon, and Monday lunchtime down at Union Square (see about half way). striking architecture and a relief on a church... more striking apartments... and another two contrasts in my looking up series these windows got to me down near the passenger ship terminal more apartments....... and past Fordham university..... art work near Columbus circle and some interesting lighting effects Co;umbus circle by night on the way home and on Monday morning, all bright and cheery....let's go shopping... down to union square.... where we saw these funny little art works....at the subway station.... before we found Babies r Us...aha..here it is... some more art work along the way, just as we emerged from the subway.... more flora of New York...beautiful roses! loved these bananas...didn't notice the prop underneath until I got home and looked at the photo on the computer...... we wandered along a street of brownstones... whe...
