It is a public holiday here at the moment. It is so nice to sit and do nothing for a bit , isn't it? Let's have another look at that orchid out in the front yard this morning.

New Beginnings

Image
Your love, Everlasting God, has traveled with your Creation since the very beginning. The love that formed us and gave us life has never been taken from us. You have loved us before we knew you. You have loved us when we've rejected you. You have loved us when we've turned once more towards you. You have loved us when we've walked in your way, Truly, your love endures forever. Place a new song of praise on our lips, a song that might ring throughout all the lands of the earth. Your love endures forever. Multiply your joy in our hearts, a joy that bubbles up and infects those we encounter this day. Your love endures forever. Demonstrate your mercy and kindness through our actions: Deeds of gentle encouragement and passionate solidarity. Your love endures forever. You are our God, and you have given us the light of steadfast love. All thanks and praise, honor and glory to you. from Lenten prayers by Rev. Kent Crawford 2010
