Did I post the African violet yet? It has been so pretty... and the full moon was pretty good too ...  always fun to see the Australia Day parade go past  even though  the date we celebrate it  seems to be becoming  quite contoversial some people even call it Invasion Day... the tennis has been interesting too, but of course I have been forgetting to take photos of it! Just some shots from a pretty garden when the agapanthus were in full flight,,,I mean flower(ing)!

  Had a little trip out to the country to visit some friends for New Year. A little problem for my back travelling a way in the car these days, but the journey was broken into four days so that and a motel at the end made it all a little easier.   passing through some old familiar territory  I was reliably informed by my driver who is an agricultural scientist that this must be sorghum growing here  silos everywhere. Not yet painted as some are down in the south of the country...and unfortunately not very full with grain....this year being a very dry year!   following a road train..   and a nice little park to stop and refresh  going down the Great Dividing Range!! Not terribly impressive, but still the water that falls on the right goes to the Pacific Ocean and to the left, down to South Australia, if or when  it ever gets there!  This little unassuming hall was built as a memorial to a beetle.
