 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. NIV When I started this blog, I had hoped that it might be a place that might bring hope and inspiration and encouragement to others, especially those who are looking for something, to fill an empty God-spaced hole in their lives..  Today when I picked up my devotional book SEIZE THE DAY, with Dietrich Bonhoeffer, by Charles Ringma, I was struck by the above quote from James, the required reading, but I was also struck by the interpretation below it, headed When There is No Resolution, and a quote from Letters and Papers from Prison, by Bonhoeffer: "Nothing can fill the gap when we are away from those we love...It is nonsense to say that God fills the gap: he does not fill it, but keeps it empty so that our commun...

Midnight visitors

This little fellow thought he'd like to sleep in my ceiling during the day times ..until the plumber had to fix a tile broken by a branch during the last storms...then he got trapped didn't he? The staff from Peter the Possum man came and put a couple of traps with yummy apples in them. Caught the youngster, but not the mummy yet! Maybe tonight. This baby is now back up the Chinese Fan Palm where he belongs. So cute! But oh so noisy when he was trying to find his way out the other night, and out of the trap early this morning, between 1am and 5am. UGH. Very strange he was yawning when they came to let him outside at 9am!! Sorry to wake you, little fellow. For more on our wildlife , read this interesting article from the Brisbane Courier Mail. Forgot to identify this little one as a Common Brush-tail possum .
