Flowers, walks and earthquakes in the night...
view of a lassiandra on a fairly early morning walk... these days my back doesn't allow me to leap out of bed early and go walking, very sad! But I am always keen to get outside for a walk as soon as it has warmed up sufficiently...my back that is. The weather is always warm here usually, apart from about a week or so in the winter...!! It is especially great to be walking when one has some highly spirited grandchildren in tow. Whether they are tiny ones, or older ones home sick from school, the outing seems to be good for all of us. by late afternoon I am always pleased to get out and walk again when the sun has died down a bit, and the day is getting a little cooler... there are always some interesting flowers to see along the way...I thought these striking yellow flowers above were a kind of orchid, but I am wondering if they may be a variety of a ginger plant.
