Temptations

Image
For the Brenda Photo Challenge this time, we are encouraged to post our photos under the title Temptations Photography is a great Temptation for me. not to mention this particular icecream...funny, I am not terribly interested in icecream, but this brand and the macadamia nuts are ymmm.... and well, this particular brand of chocolate with orange rind...double yum...my sisters left too much of it here after they visited at Easter..... these aniseed sweets are also very tempting...I am actually trying to give up eating sweets...very difficult playing games (especially cards) (playing tennis), not so much jigsaws, but this one that one of my granddaughters made for me at Easter nearly caused me to miss an appointment yesterday...I was so deeply absorbed in it...despite the absorption, I still can't finish it Reading is also very tempting, especially on a rainy day like today! As is computing! Photographing flowers and admiring the view...always a major temptation...especially when yo...

Anzac Day

Image
It is Anzac Day in Australia today. A day when we remember our servicemen who fell at Anzac Cove during the war Having never been down to the local service before, I decided to have a walk down to the memorial, just as everyone else was coming home again it certainly looked like there was a goodly number of people who had attended people were still gathered around to have their own private moments of remembrance They shall grow not old As we that are left grow old Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them! As I walked home afterwards I had this view out to Brookfield as I crossed the road And I remembered again that there are many people gathered out there looking for a mother of three small children who went missing after her walk last week.. There were many police and SES searchers around when I drove out there to tennis. When the police came down to search the grounds around the tennis courts and the creek ...

This poor old house reminds me that we are all accepted with all our differences.. we all have different personalities, appearances, but God loves us all equally. May God go with you this week. "We all like sheep have gone astray".

A time to play

Image
Grandma was the lucky person to get to go to the beach-side playground with Mr Three...always fun to play in the sand keeping an eye out up on the observation deck any ships ahoy? no, not really oh well let's have an icecream while we wait before we go home to play ... Grandma was also very lucky to be able to help put Mr 3 to bed. After much settling all was quiet for a while. A little voice piped out of the darkness. "Grandma I love you". I love you too little fireman!

these vibrant blooms attracted my attention the other day, as I was lunching with family at the nearby shops before their departure. I've never seen anything quite like them, so I have no idea what they are! these little animals also brought a smile ... very cute someone was very clever...nice to happen across something totally unexpected... bye bye little creature and your friends...bye bye sisters and brother in law... these wonderful cassias are blooming away at the moment...just in time for Easter again.
