  Nice for the tourist crowds to have departed back to the city so we locals can get to the beach again!   The seagulls may think differently perhaps..less fish and chips for them? Also nice for the cyclone season to be almost finished. One ended up a little close for comfort down this way lately..but luckily departed out to sea instead of crossing the coast! Suppose that means we ended up with less rain than we could have had for the summer. The farmers might be still looking for more?   My moon shots aren't the most professional, but it is still fun trying, watching it, and posting!   Here is Stumpy the water dragon... Love trying to take a photo of them...such interesting fellows! Well, that's about it for today...hope you have a good week, if anyone happens to be reading this old blog still!! Have been very slow at keeping up here... Here is my new friend ;-) It was raining when I went over to the beach for fish and chips one day... But it is still nice to be there.. Hope you have had a good start to the year.. And an even better week! God Bless.

 I see these lovely colors every time I go to a particular store nearby  my first crocheted rug..  pretty colors  rug number two  and another trip to the beach  what is this ugly monster doing on the beach..a water side... for the school holidays no doubt!  lovely native plant seedpods a flower about to bloom...  the local water dragon  very handsome fellow  was glad this one slipped away over the side before I got there..lucky I had my camera despite the fact that it looked very dark initially , I wonder was it a green tree snake...? couldn't bear to leave you with a nasty reptile to finish, so here is the latest gerbera in flower... Hope you have a great week... we are having some lovely much needed rain here at the moment!

 lassiandras in flower leaves at the beach..  bauhinia in flower  swimming weather...is almost upon us...  the statue of Steve Irwin with his kids at Mooloolaba...  new spring growth and thereby endeth this month's catchup...

 Craft Cottage Garden always a lovely time of year  across to the beach we go again... Mooloolaba Beach always interesting an ibis walks past a pirate ship in the playground... some lovely colorful autumn leaves a tour of the Agricultural College   and another trip to the beach on a different sort of day...just before the cyclone I think...  the always beautiful Mooloolaba Beach  in another of it's moods...

  As I wandered across for my weekly fish and chip lunch at the beach  I found a visiting cruise ship anchored offshore  they come and pop in every so often   and  as there is no large port facilities for cruise ships  they have to anchor offshore and the people brought in by small boats... It seemed to be so close....I wondered if the tide went out it might get left high and dry  ;-) I'm glad there weren't too many people deciding to have lunch at my quiet little fish and chip shop. (I usually avoid going across to the beach if I know there is a cruise ship expected....to avoid the traffic). Hope your week has been full of little pleasant surprises too!!
