My sub tropical World

I had to go over to the library at the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens. No, this is not the library (above)...it is the tropical dome, where giant waterlilies and other interesting plants, live! I was surprised to see that there was a pineapple growing at the front door to the library! When I mentioned it to the librarian, he hadn't even noticed. Maybe he lives on a pineapple farm! the library specializes in horticulture and astronomy, (in fact there are no ordinary books)...as there is a planetarium here too! You will see it below. One of the local wildlife, a willy wagtail, came out to greet me as I left the library...he was very welcoming and friendly! Here is the planetarium building. One day I will get to go to it, and see the wonderful displays they put on there. OK. Here are some photos from a trip to the botanic gardens nearby in February. I did say I was going to go back and take some more, but that will have to wait for another day, and another posting! These are just too good to waste anyway! As you can see there isn't a lot of news, apart from that Joanne had a good report from the dr's appointment, an d is now officially back at work. (Had an email from her six hours ago). I know she thinks that I am funny, but as I said, a lot can happen in six hours! Even babies. (Actually I am sure she knows already)! So it will be good to see how well she manages being back at work. She is now taking guesses on what the date will be for the baby's arrival. I am going for some nice round figures, perhaps the 30th May, or the 1st June. Or maybe it will be during the next doctor's visit when the doctor said she would break her waters if she reached 37 weeks! Wonder if the little chap can even wait till her birthday.
