Today's Flowers
The wattles are blooming. They were all along the sides of the roads as I drove to and from Toowoomba up the Great Dividing Range on the weekend. Hopefully this close-up will show you the fluffy nature of the individual flowers. My daughter-in law's colorful vege garden, was as lovely as any flower garden this weekend. a purple daisy...why do I have so much trouble getting the true nature of blue or purple flowers when I photograph them? a wonderful grevillea...I think...my contribution to my Australian natives for this week! My sister gets a bit dismayed at the non-native aspect of my Todays Flowers posts I think, from her comment last week! I am trying to encourage her to show her wonderful collection of native plants on her blog each week. It is a bit difficult I think when you are a busy woman and hold positions in the local (and beyond) native plant societies!! However we are working on a solution. Either I show some of her photos here, or help to update her blog each week. We...
