A walk in the park.

There was a little snow this week past. Inwood steps. Gosh, remind me why we brought the pram MaMa. You see where this guy likes to walk...that's right, on the slippery ice...likes living on the edge he does! Anyone for tennis? Oh, the gates are locked! Yes, well there is a bit of snow on those courts there I see. But look, they left the playground open! Hooray. We can play! mmm....but you can't sit down yet, MaMa.... Ah, the swings...hooray...!! What a bright sunny day!

Snowfalls around Inwood

We had some nice snow the other night... we went out to see what it was all about! people digging cars out of the snow.... came home to put some candy canes on the tree.... and back out again with dad to the playground this morning.... perhaps a game of ice hockey would be more appropriate? a bit hard to get in sit on the seats..! shut the gate! they came and chipped away at the ice on pavement around the fire hydrant, and at the intersection....good! still ice lying on the bushes.... the birds were enjoying the sunshine on the roof of Dyckman House just down the road this morning! a pretty entrance way to some apartments down the road.... The end...of this week's My World, from Inwood, North Manhattan New York.... For more stories around the world, please click on the My World button over in the sidebar...

Sunday Psalm 23

1.The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. 2.He makes me to lie down in green pastures. he leads me beside the still waters; 3.he restores my soul. He leads me in the right paths for his name's sake. 4.Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and staff- they comfort me. 5.You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6.Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.

We spend quite a bit of time in the park ...I love looking at the fungus starting to break down all the old vegetation! They were all out playing baseball the other day. There are at least 4 baseball diamonds in the Inwood Park. and of course all the spring blossoms are starting ..... I wandered down to the Columbia Presbyterian Medical school ....always an amazing place! the chapel and garden are always delightful, and spring is blossoming there too! Another walk in the park....I love the massive rocks that New York is built on. I find it so hard to photograph them to show their size. the squirrels are out ...this one was a black one...the ones I see are usually brown... We wandered through 103rd street to the station on Sunday coming back from church... I guess this is technically probably part of Harlem.... On our wander along Riverside Drive I was struck again by how bare and grey brown everything is in winter, but there are bright moments of color that stand out every now and the...
