out and about, bits and pieces, still waiting

I think my last post left off as I was visiting the Frick museum. There are many interesting places around there on 5th Avenue. including the busy busy Met. I happened to see one of my first magnolia buds... past the Guggenheim again and had a welcome break at the Episcopal Church of The Heavenly Rest. Where there was a choir rehearsing (wonderful). And a little cafe with nice food to eaat! Went through the Engineer's Gate to and from Central Park there's been a lot of coming and going at home too... Mummy's been getting ready for the baby ...when it will come we know not yet....many contractions being had... some favorite videos being watched games of hide and seek and walks in the park and playground fun looks like baseball has started... and not too much change at the lake yet... a walk through the forest over the big hill... brings father and son to the Hudson River... great views of the George Washington bridge... time to put our hats back on ...a bit cooler over here...

Out and About

I went off on a little excursion the other day went in to Central Park via this gate and past the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis reservoir looking over to the Guggenheim, above arrived at the Met I love this building opposite the Met Went into the Met I only had a short time, but enjoyed what I saw. Unfortunately these were the only photos I took inside, as the special exhibitions I visited (Guitar Heroes and Cezanne, The Card Players) were No Photography Allowed. But the best treat of all were these guys giving a little impromptu concert outside for the lunch hour crowds. They were really enjoying themselves they were also selling a CD of course. Walking back through Central Park Central I found another little tiny sign of Spring!
