And Charles Ringma in his Dare to Journey says that "in these reflections, we have stressed the importance of personal responsibility. We are not to see ourselves as passive in a difficult world. We don't simply react to what is happening around us. And we don't see ourselves as moved by God without playing a responsible part. We have stressed that we are called to make choices, take initiatives, run risks, take up challenges, create opportunities, embark on adventures and at times take steps of faith the outcomes of which lie well beyond our present knowing.
