 spring flowers  trips to Toowoomba for special occasions  always enjoy seeing these grain silos again...  and of course the jacarandas were looking good too  love the Brisbane architecture, in particular this house as I pass by each trip another old Queenslander house and sometimes even the army is on the move... It has been quite wet lately after a VERY LONG DRY spell...and I have had several trips to Toowoomba, the Garden City for several reasons... and I notice the next folder of photos hasn't been edited yet, so they will have to go in the next edition...hopefully next week!! so glad I cleaned the windows, don't you love the late afternoon light at the change of seasons, it seems to have a wonderful pinkish quality to it a lovely arrangement of flowers for early church yesterday and the iris were just wonderful I just love irises I think they are just the perfect flower and look who came to visit after I got home from church it has become so hot outside he must have been having a dip in the pool hello dear kookaburra, having a bad hair day, I am so glad I cleaned those windows! there'll always be an orchid during Spring and look at that color wonder why the color disappeared when I focused on it as the sun set very rapidly? and the first jacarandas are out...lovely!

a tropical downpour unexpectedly early in the morning gum trees glisten with the unexpected drenching and of course the jacaranda looks as good as or better than ever.

eucalyptus flowers pretty gardens impressive jacarandas and I have no idea what this plant is...I haven't ever seen it before. At first I thought it might have been a kangaroo paw, until I noticed the open flowers,which I have never seen on a kangaroo paw... but I thought it was very pretty another gorgeous jacaranda and the plover wonders why someone had to some along and mow his paddock yesterday. I was pleased to see the plovers still there...and the someone left a small plot unmowed...good... and I don't know what this tree is either. I have a feeling it may be a type of eucalypt. But it also is very impressive, in full flower!

Some pretty flowers during the week, mainly up on the range in Toowoomba....petunias... jacarandas.... hibiscus.... cactus type flowers.... silky oak.... someone told me this is a yukka....but I googled yukka and I don't think it is now? Found another one out at tennis and they tell me it is a pony tail palm, a native of Mexico... The "Ponytail Palm" is really not a palm at all. It is a member of the Lilaceae (lily family), and is known as "elephant's foot" because of its bulbous base. It is native to the desert of Mexico and is somewhat of a curious interior landscaping plant. Likes full sun to part shade. lovely pretty white pink flowers above, and a protea.... and back down in the city, my dancing lady orchid.... azaleas..... irises.... above a yesterday today and tomorrow.... a double hibiscus....
