Head to the Hills

Image
Time to head to the hills again.... an advertisement for a parachuting center along the way...always gets to me! the summer crops are ready to harvest...sorghum? seems as if some cormorants have moved into the gardens up there...are they replacing the very large and noisy bat colony...I didn't see or hear any of the bats there this time... the ducks are always looking happy to be fed.... lovely walks to be had through these gardens.... and on the way home, some hay bales to take a photograph of as I stopped for fuel. a picnic on the banks of the Brisbane River as you cross it....always a good spot.... and the view in the rear vision mirror as I left there....a couple of Moreton Bay Fig Trees. for more entries in My World this week, please click on the picture over in the sidebar....

the week's skies from southern Queensland

Image
I managed to catch the moon with some tree branches across it last night.... Today the skies are pretty blue.... you would never know that there was the biggest pea-souper of a FOG two hours earlier today when I woke! Some photos of the sunset earlier in the week.... I really quite like this one of the road above. It is much better than the straight clear shot! more moon shots from earlier in the week....again behind the tree.... a reflection from the creek at tennis earlier in the week..... and I just have to finish off with this shot from last Friday that didn't make it into last Friday's sky shots. Hope you have enjoyed the skies from my sub-tropical world here in Southern Queensland, Australia. If you would like to see more from around the world, please click on the SKYWATCH icon over in the sidebar.... Please feel free to peruse the rest of the blog, and enjoy more shots from my world....

So I snapped several photos as I walked along..... through the dog walking park...proposed freeway bypass....(very sad proposal..think I might have mentioned it before) Suddenly there was a bright vapor trail starting to for across the sky, so of course I had to snap it too.... Do you see anything starting to happen in the sky there? I think I can! The vapor trail was brilliant...so was the sky and the sunshine through the clouds. Of course I couldn't resist taking this one..... To get a series of vapor t...
