A crooked doorway ...and a window

This is really a postscript to the My World post below...I can't work out why I can't take a photo of this doorway without it leaning to the left. I really need to go back and check out that this building is not about to fall over! I always enjoy hearing this singer..she has a lovely voice. Cheapest jazz concert around...for a 3 dollar entry fee to the quilt show! and a window for you...it was really calling me to take its photo while I listened to the jazz!

a part of Brisbane City from the vantage point of Mt Cootha ... more views of the city...and the river... a Botanical Artists exhibition at the Botanical Gardens.... and a quilt show at Brookfield Showgrounds... I am pretty sure that building, although it is a little old, is probably not on a lean as it appears to be in the photo above...I think it might have been the poor photography, sorry! the quilts were very interesting.. and there was some "Stitched Up" jazz outside to enjoy with a picnic.... MY WORLD

On my way out to Brookfield, I saw all these amazing clouds rising out of the horizon, so I stopped and tried to take a photo..not very successfully though. While I was taking the photo ..a crow came along and hopped up onto a branch of the jacaranda tree! There is a lovely rural suburb near me, complete with Showgrounds. And every year the Quilt sitters group has their annual exhibition there. You can just see the mountain beside and behind the building there. These lovely ladies were doing a great job taking our money...and selling raffle tickets ..to win the quilt in the background. Seems as if I didn't win it, as I didn't get a phone call...but then again, the BIG storm that hit Brisbane would have hit them just as they were packing up out there on Sunday afternoon! I haven't heard how they got on in the storm, luckily it was ok here, but a couple of suburbs over, the Prime Minister has just been up to visit and it has been declared a disaster zone. Amazing what a d...
