Grandma is in bed very early in the morning  listening to the visiting grandchildren cuties chatter to themselves. Grandma arises from her bed to be greeted by Mr Four. Grandma I have to tell you about EPI LEPSY. Ah, OK. Epi Lepsy is when your body stops. Ah, OK, that's interesting. Yes, he says, MY Body never stops. Grandma thinks: I know,  I know!

Very remiss of me to neglect Palm Sunday. It has been a little busy here lately! Luckily the donkey was there on time. Even the sunset matched the lenten colors I thought.

driving out at Brookfield the other day.. I can never resist taking photos of this magnificent old home and of course the old shed!! This was taken looking across the bridge that has been flooded for quite a while. Now it is not, and so with the absence of rain, we were able to have a game or two of tennis! The rain trees have started to flower. Bye bye beautiful, very green Brookfield. Till next week.

This little fellow thought he'd like to sleep in my ceiling during the day times ..until the plumber had to fix a tile broken by a branch during the last storms...then he got trapped didn't he? The staff from Peter the Possum man came and put a couple of traps with yummy apples in them. Caught the youngster, but not the mummy yet! Maybe tonight. This baby is now back up the Chinese Fan Palm where he belongs. So cute! But oh so noisy when he was trying to find his way out the other night, and out of the trap early this morning, between 1am and 5am. UGH. Very strange he was yawning when they came to let him outside at 9am!! Sorry to wake you, little fellow. For more on our wildlife , read this interesting article from the Brisbane Courier Mail. Forgot to identify this little one as a Common Brush-tail possum .

The sun has come out... We are thankful that the rain seems to be staying away, despite the prospect of two cyclones, one now a rain influence depression, but staying away from the Queensland Coast, but menacing some islands in the Pacific. Many sincere prayers for our neighbors, and relatives in the northern island of New Zealand who are experiencing a severe drought right at this moment!! May the Lord provide rain for them. As according to the news link below they have only 20 days of water remaining! Strange coloring of the ocean at Caloundra the other day, I wonder if it is caused by tannins from the trees floating into the passage. Looking towards the northern tip of Bribie Island. All in all, a very strange experience!

Sorry I am a little late for this Challenge. I do have another photo to put in here,  but it is way too late at night in Australia,  to ask permission of some people in the photo!! Maybe tomorrow! It has been a little wet here lately... no doubt you have heard already I think it has been raining for about forty days and forty nights...a little unusual for here...the damage bill for repairing all the roads and bridges must be phenomenal after many times some of them have been underwater this year, let alone the last three years...and not counting the cost to the individual people who have had their houses flooded, as well as the insurance companies... is it any wonder some people want to sell.... even some of the parks are closed... and the ferries...I went for a drive out there to have a look and to take some photos... the mighty Brisbane River at Moggill  and the Moggill Ferry   not quite sure why the horses need the solar panel...to plug in their ipods..? I always wanted to live in Kangaroo Gully Road. Pity the suburbs have moved out and the pineapple farms have disappeared Not a bad view of the city from out ther...

We could be forgiven for feeling as if we are underwater... After what is now being called the hottest summer on record in Australia, and then after probably nearly a record,  very wet February,  we are now expecting even more rain for the weekend, in SE Queensland!!! We could be forgiven for going a little "troppo". A term usually reserved for the craziness that results from waiting in the extreme heat for the wet season to arrive in the tropics. Perhaps what we are experiencing might better be termed "cabin fever". Well, I guess we haven't been quite confined to barracks continually since Australia Day the first at the end of January,  but the prospects of even more rain doesn't seem to be terribly exciting anymore. From one who loves the wet season normally. ;-( It must sound even worse for those whose homes or businesses or lives have been affected by the rain and floods more than once since then...some of them even three times!!!...
