a trip to the Cloisters

Image
We had a lovely walk to the Cloisters the other day...(the castle we see at the end of the road every day) the grownups had a good chat catching up, meeting new friends, while someone had a great time in the playground nearby Grandma admired all the flowers around in the wonderful gardens gosh, these purple flowers are almost as big as the little grandson's head lovely lawns, and picnic areas the patch of iris was magnificent these must have been poppies? a very vivid color! and this wonderful bloom, must have been a rhodedendron I think, judging by the azalea like leaf someone had fun picking a flower for Grandma are we there yet? Is this the castle...no...not this one... aha, there, now we can see it time for a quick bite of lunch to eat and when we finally got there it was closed on this public holiday. Somehow I thought it might have been. anyway, I did enjoy the gardens...and the company, and meeting new people and then we went home...all downhill from here...mostly stopping...
