Friday in New York
Hi from me again. It is only 6.30am. Waking at 5.30am in the morning is a little better than the 4am of the last couple of days! At last the jetlag might be shifting! It is also nice now the heatwave has ended, and we can open the windows for a cool breeze. Ah lovely! Yesterday I managed to get not too lost and find the Historic Dyckman Framhouse just down the road. (I am having a little trouble getting my bearings again, especially in a new suburb)! Anyway, it was good to have a walk, even though most of it was in the wrong direction, after I came back from accompanying Jo to work. Good to read and find out a little of the history of the place. Hard to imagine this suburb way back when it was a farming area! Here is the photo of the storm the other night when I came up out of the subway. Except I didn't manage to capture the lightning..sorry about that! I managed to lose it off this post the other night. Some nice fellow showed me where the elevators were that night, and then wait...
