The Quilt Show and the ORANGE Challenge

Image
A Magic Jumping Castle..fun for all. I almost forgot about the Brenda Photo Challenege this weekend...the subject was ORANGE So here are a few recent ORANGE photos for you... mainly from the Quilt Show I went to last weekend.....(you can read about it and see more quilts in my previous post below) from outside, and inside the Science Center this week.... Someone was out and about in the park, encountering Orange .... Please click on the BRENDA PHOTO CHALLENGE button, over in the sidebar, if you would like to see more entries in this ORANGE Challenge this weekend. This is a very nostalgic post for me, because it reminds me of the first time I entered the challenge (I think). I was in NYC visiting my little family, and thoroughly enjoyed photographing anything Orange there! You can click to see it too if you wish! Be warned there are quite a few more photos there than this time! And don't forget to scroll down if you would like to see more of those lovely quilts, and even a wonderf...

Time for the Quilt Show

Image
I promised I would take you to the Quilt Show last weekend. well, here we are finally... a frill necked lizard... plenty of gorgeous displays of flowers... enough to maintain the interest of grandchildren... this one was depicting Bible stories.... the segment above appears to be Joseph's coat of many colors.... more lovely flowers...for the Carnival of Flowers weekend visitors... I think the one above was one of my favorites....I like the raggy edges. It was called Pineapples! something for everyone... I wonder if this one will get the most popular, viewer's choice, if not overall champion perhaps? Maybe they weren't judging them, but they were just there for enjoyment. I enjoyed them immensely. And enjoyed the company of a grand daughter as well! If you haven't been here for a while, then you might enjoy the massed display of blue flowers in the park, in my previous post!

A vision of blue

It wasn't the most pleasant weather up on the mountain, but the vision of blue was spectacular, in Queen's Park, Toowoomba. all part of the Carnival of Flowers weekend. A busy weekend, lots to see and do I always love the delicate irises tucked up in their bed beside the hedge. But this whole BLUE massed display was just STUNNING. I thought I was in heaven!
