New Era

Image
A new Era  A new Header today! Looking towards the mountains. Last year these mountains were covered by smoke  from bush fires for months! Here we are today A new year ..a new season in our lives  I even found that my camera that stopped working last year has started working again! Sometimes small miracles happen  Meanwhile the bear waits for the kids to visit..One day maybe!  The news is understandably full of covid 19  But the sun is still rising and setting  and so is the moon too!   the flowers bloom and fade and the seasons still change ! I'm keeping my eye on this tree on my morning walk!  But fortunately there are bright spots in our days   spectacular cloud formations to take our minds off ourselves!   and creativity flourishes in the midst of loneliness, disease, isolation and despair even! May God bless you wherever you are! May he keep his face shining upon you. ...

The skies lately

Image
This photo intrigued me the other day, as there was a shadow over the house which looked a bit like the trunk of a tree behind the house! I love it when the sky goes all inky like this! and these shots of the moon looked quite appropriate at the right time for Halloween! a quick trip up the mountain for another birthday party, brought a trip to the gardens....still clear blue skies mainly... the resident bat population was a little disturbed there early one morning.... as the sun sets over this building, it reminds me of an ocean steamer .... And at the time of going to press here , we are expecting some slow moving storms to come in soon....ah the joys of the weather predictions... The skies

The skies have been mostly clear...the dust took a while to clear.... After the tree loppers had been and chopped branches off the trees next door (argh...) there were some spectacular sunsets for me out the back in the new landscape... there has been some discussion going on in my head as to whether the new expanded view is worth having the extra sunshine that will belt in on my western and kitchen walls. I think not really. The view was pretty good before anyway! there have been a few clouds, and even a short sharp thunderstorm yesterday! Not much rain in it for us, when we have beeen 4 months without rain now! I do appreciate the sunsails at the shopping centers...to keep us a bit cooler in the summer... another gorgeous sunset,a nd the moon was quite intriguing also...I left it almost too late to get out there and get a photo! everywhere one looks here at the moment the landscape is absolutely dotted with these wonderful blue jacarandas...I love it...almost makes the approach of su...
