Catching Up in June

Image
An interesting building I encountered when in Boston with my daughter recently. This was at MIT in Cambridge, just down the road from where my daughter's conference was held. I was lucky enough to go along and help mind the baby for her. It was good to be back in the States again. Although it was quite different this time, minding a baby. Not a lot of time for sightseeing in between baby's sleeps. But fun anyway. This building mirrored one I saw in a painting on the wall in our hotel room. Quite strange when I saw it and recognised it from the painting! Or was it a photograph? Gosh my memory is bad. When I get to go through through the photos I took, I'll try to remember to post it. It reminded me very much of a Jeffrey Smart painting. I will also enjoy posting some photos of the art gallery exhibition I went to today. I have to check first if I am allowed to. A wonderful collection of old photos and paintings, of the buildings that were built here on the Coast, sinc...

Stormy Weather A Personal Photo Challenge

Image
This is one of my favourite stormy weather photos. I finally found it amongst all my thousands of photos. I had to remember what day it was, I knew it had been a special holiday day...it was Christmas Day 2012. It was quite a spectacular storm front that had gone past, luckily as we made our way down to the beach for a paddle with the children! Won't you join Donna from her blog Cottage Days and Journeys to either participate in this month's personal  photo challenge the topic of which is  Stormy Weather, or to visit the other participants. Many thanks to Donna for all your advice and encouragement in the face of your own adversity. May God go with you this month, and with all those who are also facing stormy weather challenges in their lives at this moment.
