even the birds like a dry spot to shelter even the front yard looks wetter in today's downpour found this pretty spot while out collecting the mail and a tiny hint of a promise...a sunset last night, amongst all the gloom of rain laden skies everywhere else, there was a pink haze to the bottom of the horizon in the west. so more sewing gets done, while watching news of the floods on tv, aha, finally, it is finished. I hadn't realized quite how much work goes into making a rug of knitted patchwork squares. fell asleep while watching the tennis last night. and this morning when I wake, another heavy heavy downpour, while having a lovely skype video with the family in NYC, who are all sick! finally the all important grant application is submitted, and they can relax for a bit. nearly time to make my booking to get over there, it seems.

I managed to get a shot of some raindrops this morning. There is another cyclone approaching the coast, which promises even more rain for our already sodden ground. The sun came out again. The weekend will tell where and when the cyclone decides to travel, and possibly cross the coast.
