the last week..getting better

Image
an image of this pretty yellow flower that grows in a pot at tennis. I struggled out there earlier in the week in case they were short of players...and was very happy to know they had enough, and I could go home again. I had to sit and rest after climbing the last of the many steps! and some sunsets from during the week you can see I have been out and about while getting over the bug I caught... it has been raining again today...a good time for catching up on some sleeping and reading have been forgetting to record this book above I read recently...very interesting and this one is too...currently reading... and the last of the sunset an old familiar sight. Hope you have had a good week. I have enjoyed getting over my cold. There's nothing like a cold or flu to make you appreciate normal good health! In other news, the Kevin and Julia show has heated up since Kevin stepped off his 24 hour flight home from Mexico and Washington this morning. Gosh, here we are it seems to be in the m...

Cooling and Sharing

Image
love these photos of my sister's of the birds at her new feeder in Melbourne...how some of these guys are sitting patiently waiting for their turn accidentally loaded this one twice...if I delete one they both get deleted...so you can enjoy it twice! Hope you have a cool and happy weekend Is it reminding me a little of the reading I was supposed to do at church this morning, before I had to stay home with a cold...of Jesus healing the paralyzed man, after his friends helped lower him through a hole in the roof to get near to him? Mark 2:1-12. Not quite but nearly? (the photos have been reduced but please do not copy anyway, without permission please).

Taize, Glasshouse mountains, train journeys and pineapples

This photo I must have taken on my previous trip home from the coast...oh, how I'd love to get to a Taize service one day.... it is looking a lot like autumn these days and the evening temperatures are dropping...16 (that's celsius of course) tonight...lovely... and I took a little train journey to Landsborough the other day to go retrieve a few things I left at the coast accidentally..including the little car at a friend's place...it was kind of taking up precious space outside my daughter's place...the little streets are so narrow there... the train snakes along quite close to the Glasshouse Mountains... quite a lovely and interesting little trip... can you see Mt Tibrogargan hiding behind the trees there? please excuse reflections in the terrible train windows, this little place must have been at Beerwah I think oops, these two are out of order here ... here I am on the bus to Caloundra... another interesting journey, since I missed the direct connection... took a ph...

Not growing weary

Image
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God the creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40: 28-31 NIV version.
