And after all the hard work cleaning up over the Easter holiday weekend, a trip to the beach and grandchildren! Hooray. A spectacular cloud formed offshore, and dumped itself on us after our little morning on the beach, just as we were going in and out to the library! oops, I nearly forgot,  I promised you the link for Marilyn's blog post   Some one to Sit With You excellently written from the heart. It was great to get to the beach last week on a lovely sunny day, on return from my lazy time in the tropical north it is such fun to share the beach with a small child isn't it? and the seagulls of course...there weren't many others there though someone was practicing the skill of surfboard riding I think which is much more fun when there's water involved the waves out further were pretty rough and swimmers were advised not to swim "out the back"...to stay in the knee to waist deep water... of course there was much running around as well...who can resist but the waves and the water are just the thing at the beach aren't they? we are so fortunate to have lovely warm winter days, despite the pretty cold nights.

bye beautiful Dicky Beach it was such fun to be there jumping in the waves buying ice creams and fish and chips watching the action on the beach I'll miss you, but I am sure we'll be back. Just as the little fellow said to me last friday after settling in to Sippy Downs, and I offered to take him for a walk, he leaned in to me with a smile and said "Grandma, can we go to Dicky Beach" Yes, said Mummy and Daddy , let's go back and have some fish and chips for dinner at the beach. Yum. Good to be moved in at last. Whew. What a horrible couple of months for them all. What a lot of Hard work. And Grandma forgot to bring the camera back with her from Brisbane.

the beach which had been fairly quiet during the week, heated up a little during the weekend. some parachuters arrived a couple of times some bluebottles also visited on the afternoon tide, this onee seemed particularly large and nasty so we stayed out of the water and played on the beach.
