Yesterday we partook of our delayed Mother's Day outing. I am not sure either of the parents got more sleep than the day before Mother's Day, but anyway, perhaps they are just used to that good old sleep-deprived feeling. Erg. I can barely think about it. Anyway, someone was off and running the minute we were in the gate. He was after the tram! I think he probably would have caught it, if we hadn't wanted to detour through the Children's Adventure Garden first. after a bit of discussion, we were off past birdhouses wonderful flowers the azalea garden was magnificent. In full flower. How lucky we were! some funny creatures appeared along the way and then we had our tram tour through the whole Botanical Gardens. It certainly would be worth visiting again...for a much longer time too. Trouble is it is right next to the Bronx Zoo...decisions decisions. This weekend, Jo and family took a walk over the bridge to the Bronx and the lovely Hall of Fame. I think its wonderful copper roof has been beckoning them ever since they arrived at their new abode! All the fall leaves are starting to show..wonderful! I was surprised to find that all the busts are outside. And the inside is a library it turns out! Of course there are some lovely photos of them all, especially the baby, in his Halloween outfit! It reminds me of the little miracle he is...as Jo bought the little suit on the very day she found out that she was pregnant, as it was about Halloween time then. I was wondering if it would fit him, after all this time..and it does. What a wonderful little miracle he is! Here is a photo of Andrew with one of his favorite statues! Now I have forgotten which one it was. Was it the author of Sleepy Hollow? I will have to get back to you with the right answer later! OK I do believe that is the bust of Benjamin Franklin. Hope I have that right.
