Stormy Weather A Personal Photo Challenge

Image
This is one of my favourite stormy weather photos. I finally found it amongst all my thousands of photos. I had to remember what day it was, I knew it had been a special holiday day...it was Christmas Day 2012. It was quite a spectacular storm front that had gone past, luckily as we made our way down to the beach for a paddle with the children! Won't you join Donna from her blog Cottage Days and Journeys to either participate in this month's personal  photo challenge the topic of which is  Stormy Weather, or to visit the other participants. Many thanks to Donna for all your advice and encouragement in the face of your own adversity. May God go with you this month, and with all those who are also facing stormy weather challenges in their lives at this moment.

DOORS and WINDOWS .. again

Image
Having another try at a Doors and Windows Photo Challenge for some reason, some of my photography is always on my phone, from inside the car so I thought I'd bring a short collection from inside my car..please flip through quickly... If you like to go back to my first DOORS and WINDOWS post last Saturday (only a week early)..you will find this door featured slightly differently... This one was an early morning visit through the McDonald's driveway on my way home from church with two small children...we had to wait, despite driving through, so of course I couldn't just sit without taking a WINDOWS photo!!!  Then I have been spending a little time at the University here lately...  so I jumped out of the car this afternoon while waiting for my daughter and grandson... It has been nice to know that the paramedics are training just out the back of where my daughter works...  The GREEN building at the University of the Sunshine Coast houses the E...

DOORS and WINDOWS a personal PHOTO CHALLENGE

Image
I enjoyed today's challenge. But for me at the moment it is always a challenge with only a mobile phone camera!! At least the day was a fine sunny one at the beach today, so I had a great drive along taking photos of some interesting doors and windows.  just some of the doors and windows  of the beach houses I drove past  loved this traditional looking Queenslander, always interesting! everywhere I stopped to take a photo there would be someone sitting out on a balcony next door, so I would hurridly turn around and take a photo of the ocean as well over the road!! The view through the trees is always like the view from a window or door or balcony!! I think I enjoyed looking at the local architecture as much as for doors and windows... I only really found one interesting door out on my drive.. I tired to get a photo of some louvers for you...sometimes they are very popular at the beach, especially in tropical areas!!  The ad...

WATER ..A Personal Photo Challenge

Image
one of the best things about water,  is that first glimpse ... whether it is the first glimpse from the back seat driving to the beach with your parents or walking up over the sand dunes, the first glimpse is magic.  Today's post is an entry into Donna's Personal Photo Challenge for this month and the subject is WATER... Please visit Donna's Photo Challenge Blog and visit some of the other entries...and maybe you may just have time to enter yourself...this month or next ... ps Apologies for the quality of photos taken, camera still broken, most of these from the archives of mainly recent cell phone photos.

Composition Variations...A Personal Photo Challenge

Image
The addition of some sunlight, always makes a photo come to life, I think! so much nicer to have a sunny day than a dull one! Of course, on a rainy day, one can always swing the camera around to a more interesting angle:  or zoom in on the distant buildings over the passage. (or go shopping)!!! On a bright sunny day, just add an effervescent child whose favorite color is RED and whose favorite occupation is climbing hello there! My daughter thought I was very clever taking photos when I had left my camera at her place the night before! I did too. I think the phone camera takes just as good a photo as the proper one! Well, at least with me, who only shoots on automatic, at the helm!! I am sorry for this very late addition as a contribution to The Personal Photo Challenge for this month, hosted by the wonderful Donna from Cottage Days and Journeys. Many Thanks to Donna once again, and especially for all the wonderful tips you so readily share with us....
