Skywatch Friday
The skies in Toowoomba up the mountain last weekend were pretty good...at the Picnic Point lookout. The storm approaching last Sunday when I got home! Luckily there was no damage here, but.... The Prime Minister came to visit the disaster area this week. The following images I took off the tv last night... There has been much damage in many places , not only from the bad storm on Sunday night, but also from floods last night. We had 4 inches of rain here over night..some places had more! SES volunteers are stretched, trying to get tarpaulins on houses...and insurance assessors also extremely busy! Many people are not able to sleep in their homes...I think they said that there were at least 80 houses that were unlivable, 6000 homes damaged...and that is before the storm that we have just had tonight (thursday) just after I wrote this!
