a little more rain....just for the record..
I am sorry I haven't been keeping up to date here with Cyclone Yasi and its movements. Although it was lucky that it avoided the two major cities up in Nth Queensland, Cairns and Townsville, it wasn't such lucky news for the communities that were in its final path...vegetation denuded ... houses smashed... Tully, Mission Beach, Innisfail and Cardwell were some of the smaller communities affected... many banana plantations devastated... trees down of course throughout the region... and these incredible scenes of the marina at Cardwell I think... and just as we were looking at all the tv footage of the wreckage up north there was something brewing down here in Victoria... while we had a tea party it was turning out to be a wet day and in the twenty four hours to 9am this morning we had 4 and a half inches of rain... Daddy had gone off to catch his train at the station in the rain... while Grandma and number two victim of the current virus played jigsaws while Mummy ferried child...
