TODAY'S FLOWERS
I can't remember whether I have shown you this frangipani tree...a white one..with a purple branch in there! Can you see it? And of course I couldn't resist taking this photo of peeling bark at the bus stop while I was waiting for a bus! There was a little jacaranda flower captured in there! They often drop on me while I am out on my morning walk! And peeling bark is all around my yard now with all the gum trees shedding bark at this time of year! This is one of the culprits, Now I am sure the herbarium over at the Botanic Gardens told me one year that this was of the eucalyptus species..but I could be wrong. Anyway, it is flowering away at the moment. As a lot of the gum tress are...and the local lorikeets are twittering away out there very happy..drunk no doubt! And the mess they make of the trees...rubbish strewn all over the ground underneath. Whole little branches chewed off! They must get super energised while drunk, eh?
