Skywatch Friday

Image
This week has been amazing....sunsets, storms, wonderful photo opportunities. the storm approaches. and lovely rain..just what we needed! There were actually two levels to this wonderful glorious sunset...the upper one, and the one below. I couldn't work out how I could get it all in the one photo. Sorry about all the gum trees, but that's the way it is around here. And on my morning walk, I discovered that there were birds building this nest. I also discovered that I also had the moon in the same shot! can you see the bird's beak peeping out of the nest? Another glorious sunset.... this is the view from the back verandah during the day..well, on a clear day! the view from the back verandah looks out to the Great Dividing range..and Cunningham's Gap... sometimes the colours are just great! Hope you enjoyed my week of sunsets, storms, and blue skies and birdsnests also. If you would like to see more skywatch entries, please go to...the new blog for Skywatch http://...

Today's Flowers

Image
A wonderful bougainvillea in bloom along the road...the old fashioned color! The jacarandas are everywhere in flower at the moment. So lovely! I loved the way the light was shining through this leaf on my morning walk early this morning! And the color of this hibiscus was most unusual. these little pink flowers were peeping out at me from my neighbour's place over the road. some pretty yellow waterlilies out in the lakes at the university this week. And the view from my back verandah out to the mountains. There is a young jacaranda with a few flowers there as well as a glorious bauhinia. For other people participating in Today's Flowers from all arond the world, please click on the little icon on my sidebar up there! Go and have a look at some of them, they are always a treat! You may not be able to see the latest ones until Sunday night in the US, which is Monday morning in Australia!
