Early Christmas scenes...

a lizard (water dragon) sunning himself on a rock...  just love these poinsianas flowering  now... I wonder if they will still be in flower in time for Christmas?  this one is on my afternoon walk, (when I get there) and you can also see the sea in the distance just underneath it...wonderful! and an hibiscus, again on my afternoon walk. Hope you have a great week. May God bless you at the start of his special season, Advent. Would like to sahre with you a poem I read on a daily devotional site this morning from SOUNDBITES MINISTRY: NOT CELEBRATE? Not Celebrate? Your burden is too great to bear? Your loneliness is intensified during this Christmas season? Your tears seem to have no end? Not celebrate? You should lead the celebration! You should run through the streets to ring the bells and sing the loudest! You should fling the tinsel on the tree, and open your house to your neighbors, and call them in to dance! F...

A new friend...

As I was sitting out in the sun one day, I happened to see a lizard. Decided to take some photos. Had no idea until the last couple, as I moved around the other side of her, that she was actually laying eggs into one of  the holes she had dug! I think she is a water dragon, and I think it seems as if the eggs take 12 weeks to hatch. I wonder how many of them will make it? I hope I didn't frighten her! Think she might be one of the lizards I saw the other day, and I think I posted some photos of the two of them then, not all that long ago. Hope you too have the time to sit and relax, and enjoy the world around you this week. And to observe something remarkable about God's creation also.

A Personal Photo Challenge Close Up/Macro

Image
These are my entries in the Personal Photo Challenge this month.. Close Up /Macro. This is about as close up or macro as I get. Fortunately I took these shots while my good camera was working, and I actually had it on my person when the opportunity arose! Talk about lucky, in the case of the lizard and lorikeet. A Personal Photo Challenge is hosted by the lovely Donna from her blog Cottage Days and Journeys I hope you will visit her blog one day and enjoy her photography and if you would wish to view other contributions to this month's challenge,  or even participate, then visit The Personal Photo Challenge link above. Many thanks to Donna for all the effort you put in to the challenge, and for your wonderful photography!
