 the flowers have been delightful lately ..I really enjoy the camellias the azaleas and dahlias the weather has been quite cool for this area of the world....strange after a quick trip to another conference in Melbourne, to come back to very cold temperatures overnight here. Feeling thankful for an air conditioner to turn on to warm the place up in the mornings. Wished I'd got organized for the personal photo challenge of Portraits for this month...awaiting for permission to post certain photos. I know I am a bit slow at these things, sorry!

some images form around the church in Toowoomba...the Spring flowers have decided to arrive a little early, what a treat for us all and the bride...I do hope there are some left in a month's time for the Carnival of Flowers they have here! a lovely magnolia tree in the yard beside the church.... lovely arrangment in the church.... flowers being prepared for the tables at the wedding breakfast.... some images from the garden.... and inside.....an african violet.... and some lovely nasturtiums that were cheery at our front door.... the dracaena in my garden is flowering....I don't think I have ever seen it flower before...maybe it has been the long drought that prompted it.... and a final shot from the conservatory flowers at the wedding breakfast... A most beautiful orchid... and a wonderful garden , by day and by night. Springtime seems to be arriving early in Toowoomba the Garden City of the Darling Downs. lavender broalia, above..I think that there might be a w in the spelling of broalia, I might have discovered once? a wonderful camellia in our yard.... a lovely climbing rose up the street.... another nice hibiscus in the front yard... a nasturtium on the river bank yellow daisies...mm...now where did I see these...can't remember... and I really loved these camellias...a patient had brought them in for the physio this week when I was there! I think the receptionist might have thought I was a bit strange asking to take a photo!!! I noticed the morning light shining through the hibiscus in the front garden this morning, above.. and most of these flowers are photos from gardens around here that I took on my morning walk the other day...azaleas above...a little early (it is still winter here) gerberas were lovely... was surprised to find a pineapple flowering outside the library when I went over to the Mt Cootha Botanic Gardens, on the western outskirts of Brisbane .... a lovely purple rose.... and this strange flower on quite a large bush...Bixa orellana some very pretty canna lilies... and begonias...all colors! flowers on a paperbark tree..... camellias...very lovely... above, a lassiandra, I think.... a Strelitzia (or Bird of Paradise) a healthy looking poinsettia.... a pink hibiscus.... some purple lantana, yellow orange and red hibiscus.... a very pretty golden bougainvillea..... and a good shot of a bauhinia....
