Grandma's nerines

Image
I am not very sure why I call these Grandma's nerines . but I think it was because they flowered near her birthday. Sure enough just a few days after her birthday and I thought that none of the nerines were flowering (I couldn't even see any growing), I turned around after working in the front garden, to find this lovely bloom smiling at me, from a different part of the garden! I don't even know how to spell it correctly, ah, I just googled it and I am correct.

old Queenslanders

Image
a typical old Queenslander of fairly sentimental value where we used to live sometime ago... I drove past it the other day....and decided to take a photo...not that the kids would remember really....

a fresh new perspective

Image
help us O God to let us see things with a new perspective help us to step back from our problems from whatever is currently taking up too much space in our mind and zero in on truth and beauty and your love. May God go with all of us this week, especially if we need a new perspective from which to view things. Help us to trust in His goodness and love, and know that He is with us, He cares for us, and that He will never leave us. Lord, grant us patience with ourselves and with others in our lives. Help us and them to see new things in our daily lives. Little moments of joy that jump out at us, large moments of fresh new perspectives so sorely needed in our busy lives. Help us to slow down enough to recognize you with us, and to be able to spread your Joy and Love among the communities where we live and work. "May the words of my mouth and the meditations of our hearts be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer" Psalm19: verse 14

the view from here

Haven't heard of them in a while. and of course, seeing the grandchildren again this little one is on the move.. loves to read and push the furniture around...she'll be glad when the little push cart arrives off the ship eventually! someone else went to the beach with Grandma this week, and afterwards we made a necklace for Mummy at the children's library and he also enjoyed playing with the new blocks we had to make the blocks look like the picture on the front of the box they came in! then it was off to kindy and home for Grandma. No, their goods didn't arrive this week after all. They say it will be very soon...hooray! And Grandma is hoping for a miracle ...hoping her car will be fixed in time...
