A series of the latest blooms, taken mainly on a walk down to the shop...this wonderful magnolia in flower... the peach blossom in flower out at tennis last week.. and interesting plant I discovered, (above) but know not what it is... irises must be one of my favorites a quick trip over to an orchid show at the Botanic Gardens a week ago... some natives from my walk to the shops...I can never remember of they are grevillea or bottlebrush...or is a bottlebrush the same as a grevillea anyway? a poinsettia of the pink variety, taken from underneath and of course the NZ Christmas bush again...I think this has featured here before...grows fairly prolifically at the beach (Sunshine Coast)...and in New Zealand too I presume!

The Color Purple...for SKYWATCH photos, see post below.

A beautiful iris in Queens Park, Toowoomba The twins assure me that these cups are purple... All these (mainly) flowers, I have thought of as purple...when I see them all together like this, I think I need to readjust my color chart! these purple flowers were in the garden in Toowoomba now these magnolias were so outstanding, how could I call them pink and not purple? do you think the sunset was purple here? and now this flower looks more pink than people, but they do have they purple tips on the ends... My orchids are all blooming at the moment... More below. a gardenia? are these little blue ones forget me nots? pansies of course.. yellow roses again at ther Dyckman farmhouse and the pink flower again...I wonder what it is? Unfamiliar to me.
