A wonderful little lizard at tennis the other day came across my path! I was interested to see that when I came closer to him, he flattened himself down to the ground! What a lovely handsome fellow! just had to put the moon in here...apologies to regular readers who have already seen it! On the way home from Toowoomba they were irrigating at Gatton. An agricultural area, and the site for the University of Queensland's Agriculture departments and Department of Primary Industries. There are always some trials going on down there. I rather think this might have been sorghum, correct me if I am wrong I should have asked my son, who would know. It has been quite a while since I was close up to the crops and ag trials! Above, Gatton and now to Colleges Crossing, where my road crosses the Brisbane River. Always a pleasant place to go through. Especially when there is more water in the river than there has been for the last few drought ridden years! Water has been a precious commodity as ...

On my trip to the suburb of West End in Brisbane, I decided to drive along the river. The Brisbane River. Found an old building that looked a bit like it might be next for removal. Not sure. Will be sad if a bit more of our history disappears. All in the name of progress I suppose. There was a cute little cafe in the front of the warehouse shop I was in. And on the way home, I was stopped at a traffic light, and realised I was looking at the famous St Marys church. It has been in the news lately , as the priest there has been told to move on. Apparently he is not running his church according to the rules and regulations of the Catholic Church. A bit of a shame, as it appears from the news that he has a very large congregation! Looks like a local theatre there. You can see I don't know much about West End really. But I did love the top of this building! Another little bit of our history is still standing. A few representative skies from my week....a view of the fourex factory at Milton...a nice cold beer is a ...can't remember the ad even, since I don't drink beer! The skies have been mainly fine ...with quite warm days for Queensland...averaging in the 30 degrees and above...that's celsius !! Today it was up to 35 or 36 degrees...quite a little warm, esp when you don't have much airconditioning! There is a little bit of sky there from our visit to the little "beach" in at Southbank in the city... and the view thru the ferris wheeel there too...apologies to people who saw a couple of these photos in an earlier post! a city ferry hurries out of the road of my citycat ferry....on the Brisbane River... my little visitors from Melbourne.... the skies over Brisbane City and the view of some old buildings from the ferry also.... and the train bridge... skies and reflections at Toowong on the way home! the skies were a little cloudy at Bribie last week....an...
