and now it is nearly...

Thanksgiving is over...and now it is The Wet Season! Hooray, It is raining today! After all the storms of late, it is nice to have a normal rainy day!  from a trip to the beach with a little grand daughter on an unexpected day off for us both  watching the traffic go by and eating ice creams...  to a trip to the Alma Mater in the Big City for Mummy to meet up with some friends she studied honors with  baby J was quite happy at the back of the room gurgling and looking out the window of the art museum, watching the sunset on the old buildings and the now famous gargoyles.  and back to another beach on another day for another workshop meeting for Mummy  baby was very good for Grandma in between visiting Mummy at break time for feeds and no, we didn't play in the sand dunes...not after reading that message! After the beauty of the jacarandas , we now have the red poincianas coming out  to add a touch of color to the Chr...

To the theatre

On Saturday I went out to the University The wonderful University of Queensland on the banks for the Brisbane River I guess where ever you go there is always going to be a bit of graffiti...(fortunately not too much here)... I was quite amused by this scrub turkey, who showed no fear as we walked past... I think he felt quite at home...perhaps he was! Better hurry in.... but guess what....no photos were allowed inside....I presumed of the musical. So I was a little cheeky and took some photos of the inside of the wonderful theatre. It was my first time to see Miss Saigon. Interesting and sad, but very well presented. Especially the helicopter scene. Amazing. I am glad I checked out the story before I went. I can imagine it could stir some powerful emotions in some of the audience, possibly depending on age. I was certainly reminded of those days, especially when my husband (then boy friend) was called up for National Service. But was rejected on medical grounds. Which not only included...
