MY WORLD Some images from Washington

Image
One of the many sculptures in the Smithsonian mall Some images from my days in Washington with my sister....the white House of course, but we didn't see the first family out playing on the lawn with their new puppy though. Some people obviously like trying out these things for getting around sightseeing... we spent quite a bit of time at the art gallery... and touring some of the memorials in our trolley bus.... more images from the Freer gallery...in the Smithsonian Mall... and more sculptures.... our trolley bus.... many beds of beautiful flowers.... and some pretty impressive samples of petrified wood..... and always a view of The Capitol building from the Smithsonian mall... I really liked the small intimate Freer galleery.... For other contributors to My World on Tuesdays, please go to the sidebar and click on the My World Icon

Today's Flowers

Image
Lots of blossoms around Washington this week...I found it a little difficult to identify them all! Some wonderful tulips...red ones from Washington during the week.. and the pink one from New York last week... the rest of these are from Washington the last couple of days...mostly from around the Smithsonian mall... But these tulips above were being very patriotic outside the White House! I am not sure of the name of these.... The blue flowers and white tulips made a great display at the Haupt Garden near the Smithsonian Castle... Just wonderful...
