Joanne has been put on bed rest, 28 weeks into her first pregnancy. She has mixed feelings about it. First, she seemed relieved that someone has sent her home to bed and to rest, as she said she was feeling so tired. But then as the realisation of the implications sank in, she didn't get much sleep, after a busy day of things happening to her. The doctor has given her some injections to mature the baby's lungs more quickly, as she is at risk of an early delivery. It is really amazing what they can do for tiny babies these days, and she is in good hands at Columbia. All the best Jo and Andrew. The hardest part is being on the other side of the world when this happens, and not being able to do anything to help. A meal, even just a visit , or help with the laundry perhaps. And hoping that the times that you hear nothing , means that "no news is good news". "Fear not..for I am with you" says the Lord.
