Out and about, art, Percolater Gallery, and the Trammie's corner

Image
Out and about during the week by train... always intrigued by the art deco around...this was at Corinda station on my way to Inala for the art and craft It is agapanthus time here already... in the city, taken from the transit center Police Headquarters was where I had to catch a bus to The Percolater Art Gallery one of the many red corrugated iron roofs of Brisbane City getting off at the Trammie's corner...obviously reminding me of the trams that once ran around the roads of this fine city when I was growing up.. past the antique shops.. I'm not totally sure of the significance of these little mosaic plaques around the place... Was very intrigued by the state of repair of this place I walked past...on my 93 meters I had to walk from the bus stop, according to my travel instructions I can't believe I don't have a photo of the actual art gallery I went to, but I will include the link to the artist's website... This poor old house reminds me that we are all accepted with all our differences.. we all have different personalities, appearances, but God loves us all equally. May God go with you this week. "We all like sheep have gone astray".

some rain and a drive in the country

Image
we have been having some lovely follow up rain after our good shower a week or so ago. I noticed the poor scrub turkey sheltering high in the bushes during the rain.... this fungus on this tree appears to me to be flowering....? a drive in the country...not too far from the city... there used to be an old friary out here....I remember the fellows going to uni on the motor bikes with their habits flowing...seemed very funny at the time! But I am not sure that there are any of them left there....I think the Anglican church uses it for other purposes.... the flowers at home.... even the petria is flowering now.... Psalm 62 MY SOUL FINDS REST IN GOD ALONE

Image
1My Soul finds rest in God alone my salvation comes from him. 2He alone is my rock and salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. 3How long will you assault a man? Would all of you throw him down- this leaning wall, this tottering fence? .... 7My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. 8Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. 9Lowborn men are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie; if weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath. 10Do not trust in extortion or take pride in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them. 11One thing God has spoken, two things have I heard: that you, O God, are strong, and that you , O lord, are loving.
