  Nice for the tourist crowds to have departed back to the city so we locals can get to the beach again!   The seagulls may think differently perhaps..less fish and chips for them? Also nice for the cyclone season to be almost finished. One ended up a little close for comfort down this way lately..but luckily departed out to sea instead of crossing the coast! Suppose that means we ended up with less rain than we could have had for the summer. The farmers might be still looking for more?   My moon shots aren't the most professional, but it is still fun trying, watching it, and posting!   Here is Stumpy the water dragon... Love trying to take a photo of them...such interesting fellows! Well, that's about it for today...hope you have a good week, if anyone happens to be reading this old blog still!! a glimpse from the last month...a baby butcher bird...is this the one I rescued when I found it on the ground? I discovered that Australia Zoo Hospital (a la Terry, young Bindi and of course the late Steve Irwin fame,) was only too happy to take injured animals..in fact it seems easier to get help for an animal in the night than for ourselves!! ;-) apologies for a scarcity of posts lately...seem to have been busy with visitors...and a little gardening  spring gardens and trips to the seaside  seagulls  and a sunset at Caloundra  a frangipani starting to flower  and below, finally a swim at  the beach at Mooloolaba...my second swim in the ocean (with visitors...thanks Carol and Cheryl) in three years! A shocking statistic!! another sunset ...  and a preview of the supermoon...from the night before... more to come

but still time to have fun at the beach playing, waiting for cousins to play with another rainy day at the beach with the life guards close at hand with our large crew of assembled extended family and another couple of families ...with ten more children.... and rough, not ideal conditions... our kids were content with playing on the sand luckily making cars and volcanoes, and bridges and tunnels requiring many buckets of water pouring what a fun day we had...
