Catching up with the library
I went up to visit the little people the other day...this lovely tree grows up there I wish I knew the name...very pretty and this wonderful tree was outside the Caloundra library where I had to return the children's library books on the way home I think my sister said it was a Callistemon (I don't even know how to spell it properly) but my memory could be wrong I thought the tree looked very much like a paperbark, but the display of flowers was amazing. And on further perusal of my sister's email reply she includes this reference which helps to explain the difference between Melaleucas and Callistemon, and I am happy to report that I am almost right...in fact the Queensland Herbarium branch would agree with me! ;-) what a great place to have to go to return library books...
