I must remember to write the words in here as I go on, or else I cant seem to squeeze them in in the right place at the end after loading all the photos. Not that it matters, today, because I just wanted to show you the jacarandas that are flowering away at the moment. A sea of purple or blue as one looks around. Wonderful! Well, I got the writing in between some of the photos, not quite where I thought it would be...how strange. Hard to learn a new system. Anyway, Thinking of everyone in the US as they encounter the storm today. May God be with you, and keep you safe!

Aha, I have been downloading some photos from my cell phone. Most of these photos are from a train trip I did last week. And the best one of the hippeastrum flowers was taken after I changed my phone camera settings! Much better. Hopefully you can see the unusual Glasshouse mountains that one passes on the way to the Sunshine Coast. And the last photo is from the bowls club where we had our tennis reunion last week.

 It has been a little warm here the past few days...36, 37 and 35 today ... So warm in fact, that when I went for my usual walk late ths evening, I found it to be a little too warm, at still 31 celsius, and thus spent the next two hours tryng to cool myself down. Funny how the brain doesn't work too well when overheated took me a while to remember to have a cool shower. Even then I was still warm again almost immediately after wards. I was sure glad when a cool change flew through the kitchen window shortly after. Whew. Lucky. One would never know I did a first aid course a little while ago, and had almost forgotten how to cool down an over heated human body. There has been a fair amount of smoke haze also from several bush fires around the ridges. Erg. Not good for people with asthma and respiratory ailments. On a brighter note, the lorikeets (I call them, I think they might be called Rosellas) are back being loud and chirpy late afternoons in the trees. The jacarandas ...

Back in July, three months ago, it rained. That was the last decent rain we received this year, until today. Well, that is assuming that today it might keep raining for a little while, and that some good falls will be recorded. Praise God for the rain and relief from the bushfire danger for the moment. Since I still haven't done anything about a replacement camera, these photos are brought to you from my old files. The wattle was flowering back in July, the orchids are still hanging on, perhaps not quite as vibrantly as when this photo was taken back in August. But still lovely to gaze upon in wonder and delight and to enjoy...for a last moment..!! NAUGHTY MAGPIE at the University of the Sunshine Coast Art Gallery...  well,actually this particular bird, if it is indeed a magpie, is not the one...  but Mr Four and I encountered a particularly aggressive magpie at the Art Gallery at the University of the Sunshine Coast yesterday  the lady at the gallery said it has been particularly aggressive towards any children...great...it isn't easy trying to fend off a magpie when it insists on attacking the smallest person! Fortunately the little grandson isn't scarred for life, nor physically harmed in any way, but this Grandma will have to be vigilant in future. The kind receptionist even showed us out the back door, when said magpie stood at the  front door waiting for us to cross the threshold. We would have made a good getaway, if it had not been for the fact that our protective hats flew off our respective heads  in a strong wind, and while we were chasing them, the magpie managed to find us again!
