 Gosh. Now it is NOVEMBER! How time flies while having fun.  Or perhaps bring otherwise engaged ...mainly in (thankfully) minor medical procedures. Most notable being cataract surgery ..all done but waiting on new glasses!  Went to the beach the other day ..thinking I'd beat the schoolies! Almost. There were a lot of people swimming at midday on a warm day....and kids running around in school uniforms etc  https://photos.app.goo.gl/ Nn3JuFyyf5T5Ag9g9 This is a bit of a boring way to show photos! (I'll leave it here for the moment  to see if it worked ok) I will have to try to show at least one here differently! ( whew, I did it ...not sure how!! ) It has been very warm lately and as I write this we have had a very wet morning, with a little low sitting over us here on the Sunny Coast! Looking forward to some family gatherings to come in the next months!! That is me with my sunnies after surgery! Haha. Been doing some reading, a fair bit before the cataract surge...

  There has been an Anzac Day parade since I talked last also some birthday celebrations A quick visit at the Craft Cottage while popping into the church as well the zygocactus tries valiantly to flower each year! plus the usual popovers to the beach occasionally Altogether a fairly unremarkable few months, with the French Open tennis along the way!

 It won't be long before it's Christmas! Sometimes the days are long but the weeks are very short!  How can that be? twas good to get to the beach last week...before all the tourists come back for the holidays. Last night I cooked myself some barra instead of battling schoolies week over there!! Covid is not over, and here is hoping it does not flare up too much over the holidays!!  How time flies !! Last post here was back in May. Since then we have had the French Open and Wimbledon. Not to mention a lot more rain!! It has also been VERY COLD...well for here anyway! So I have been doing some more crocheting. as well as puzzles!! Had a family function out in the country to celebrate some birthdays. It was good to be back on the road, but taking care not to catch covid is very tricky, and means avoiding crowded rooms, dinner inside at night, as well as wearing masks. So far I have escaped! This was the vivid sunset on our way home after a lovely fine afternoon, in between many  rainy days!! I haven't been over to the beach during the school holidays, prefer to leave it to the tourists!! But here is a photo from a nice fine day before the holidays when I did venture over there! Hope you have had a good /ok couple of months... and hope the next month is kind to you! Hopefully more and different photos next time I tune in here! Been trying to see how to do i...

 Easter and Anzac Day have been and gone. I was very fortunate to have someone come to help clean out a flooded mess in the garage before Easter. Whew, What a mess that was. But so good to have it a little cleaner! Many people still dealing with the aftermath of the floods. Electioneering in full swing for a May Federal election. The beach is still there. A lot less crowded now after the holiday makers have gone home! Have been doing more of these puzzles lately. Codebreakers. Read a couple of books  Including Cathy goes to Canberra by Cathy McGowan. Very interesting insight into how an Independent candidate took on a sitting Liberal member in Victoria, and won, several years ago. Also The Little Hen who dreamed she could Fly was a quaint little very short read. Was going to include a photo I took today, but can't find it!  I see these lovely colors every time I go to a particular store nearby  my first crocheted rug..  pretty colors  rug number two  and another trip to the beach  what is this ugly monster doing on the beach..a water side... for the school holidays no doubt!  lovely native plant seedpods a flower about to bloom...  the local water dragon  very handsome fellow  was glad this one slipped away over the side before I got there..lucky I had my camera despite the fact that it looked very dark initially , I wonder was it a green tree snake...? couldn't bear to leave you with a nasty reptile to finish, so here is the latest gerbera in flower... Hope you have a great week... we are having some lovely much needed rain here at the moment!

 Craft Cottage Garden always a lovely time of year  across to the beach we go again... Mooloolaba Beach always interesting an ibis walks past a pirate ship in the playground... some lovely colorful autumn leaves a tour of the Agricultural College   and another trip to the beach on a different sort of day...just before the cyclone I think...  the always beautiful Mooloolaba Beach  in another of it's moods...

Always good to get across to the beach even if there is a storm approaching good to see the beach in all its different moods

always fun to have a birthday... great to be able to celebrate at the beach!!
