ANYTHING NEW ..Brenda Photo Challenge

On my visit to Toowong, I had other business to conduct there after I had been to the dentist on the way home, and I noticed this NEW building over the road...and a wonderful reflection in it of the church next door. I am thinking of Joni and the homeless when I look at this church, as for years and years...at least twenty I think, there was a gentleman who preferred to live on the street outside this church, in full view of all the passing traffic on it's way to work in the city or at the university every morning. He was surrounded by all his possessions in plastic bags, and even though many people tried to help him, he never wanted to be anywhere else. Until a year or so ago, when the council announced that they had found another park for him to sleep in...hopefully it may have included shelter for extremely hot or cold or wet days! Of course they never said where it was! I think it was getting dangerous for him to stay where he was and he may have encountered some not very nice...

ABC WEDNESDAY and the letter R

What better R word than RIVER...but I am not sure whether you can see the RIPARIAN buffer...that is a new word I learnt during the week (pertains to river and creek banks)! This is the Brisbane River at Mandalay. The ROADS are important R words. ROOVES are important too. They help to keep out the RAIN...there are quite a few people in Brisbane tonight who wish they had a roof over their heads. Not only the homeless, but those who lost their rooves in the storm on Sunday night! RETRIEVERS are handy too sometimes! I enjoy READING...do you? and RAINBOWS..everyone likes rainbows, I think! REFLECTIONS are always interesting! so are ROCKS...always fascinating. more old corrugated rooves of Brisbane. and the REGATTA hotel is a local landmark at Toowong that I forgot to include on my world post the other week. The RIVER Hudson from the ROOFTOP barbeque in New York. The scrub turkey loves RAKING my leaves for his nest! What are they doing at the local RAILWAY station? ROBBIE loves...
