Skywatch Friday....Surprise pictures for you!!!

The sky was doing its usual brilliant thing the other day when I set off for my morning walk. It was the sort of morning I was so pleased I had taken my camera. Had to stop at the top of the street down the road to get the obligatory photo of the mountains ..from a different angle than from my back verandah, one can see slightly different mountains in the Great Dividing Range to the south. Even early on in my walk that day I think I was fascinated by the light in the sky! So I snapped several photos as I walked along..... through the dog walking park...proposed freeway bypass....(very sad proposal..think I might have mentioned it before) Suddenly there was a bright vapor trail starting to for across the sky, so of course I had to snap it too.... Do you see anything starting to happen in the sky there? I think I can! The vapor trail was brilliant...so was the sky and the sunshine through the clouds. OK, I went and took a photo for you just now....8am Friday morning in Australia...and all the glorious cloud that I saw earlier on my walk (and didn't take a camera didI?) had retreated to just over the sun! Great for taking a photo! OK...now you have seen today's photo you may leave if you wish...or you could stay around for just another minute and look at some glorious sky shots from my week! And here is a sunset I found on my camera from the other night... This photo above was taken in Melburne out my bedroom window early one morning. I don't know, but there is just something about it that I quite like...maybe it is because it is very plain and simple! Do you know where I was when I took this...I was in a queue at the garage (petrol station) waiting for my turn...there was a queue because the price was relatively cheap early in the week, 133 cents a litre instead of 143 cents a litre. I know it isn't dear compared to the US...but it is fairly expensive for us! I w...
