Easter Saturday...I sit in Silence

I sit in silence, refusing all distractions, I sit in silence, allowing the absence of activity to create space for emptiness. I sit in silence, wondering if anything at all is possible now that Jesus has been killed. I sit in silence, pained by the idea that so many others will die this day, for no good reason. I sit in silence, protesting against the injustices of living in a broken and harsh world. I sit in silence, seeking answers to my questions. I sit in silence.
