Sunday at SPSA
Last Sunday we visited the Cloisters down the road. An adjunct of the Met. Unfortunately my camera batteries died and this was one of the last photos I got there then. Then a baby came along and stole the limelight.. Today I decided to jump on the train and go to church. So I caught the number 1 train downtown to Jo and Andrew's church at 86th Street. This is the view you get of SPSA as you come up out of the subway. It is an interesting church, as there are several church communities worship there, including a Jewish congregation. There is Feed the Hungry Campaign that operates there, giving food to the homeless, as well as a women's shelter that gives a bed to homeless women overnight. What I really love is this banner .. HOW GOOD IT IS WHEN BROTHERS AND SISTERS DWELL TOGETHER IN HARMONY. After coffee hour, some good friends of Jo and Andrew's came along on the trip home to visit. Naomi enjoyed a cuddle of Liam.
